Son del Barrio (SDB) Music is an independent promoter of Chicano Groove, an emerging genre & scene in popular music. SDB catalogues professional CD recordings and other promotional merchandise from underground barrio bands that are shaping a new movement in Chicano Music

Son del Barrio's catalogue includes the debut recordings from East L.A. band Quetzal and the Bay Area group Los Otros. Quetzal's self-titled debut CD and the debut release from Los Otros, Radio Chón, are for sale on our website and through independent music outlets. In addition to the Los Otros and Quetzal debuts Son del Barrio promotes a collection of recordings from West Coast groups that define and expand new Chicano Groove.

Son del Barrio created and maintains its rare catalogue of merchandise with the support from San Francisco based social justice and education group, Justice Matters and the progressive webmagazine In Motion Magazine.
